According to the Urban Dictionary a road dog is someone that is a close friend or someone you hang out with all the time. Before the movie Road Dogs came out the term applied to musicians that were always on the road doing shows. We named our band in honor of those musicians. We had the name long before the movie came out and long before the term took on a new meaning. We were actually mentioned in the Dallas Newspaper entertainment section when the movie was first reviewed. The article said Road Dogz (not to be confused with the rockin' blues band from Orange County California) was blah blah blah. It was a happy moment for us!
